Alex in Terribleland

 

Let me catch everybody up. I'm the assistant director, Alex, for my school end-of-the-year play. We all decided on Alice in Wonderland. The week of the play, our lead actress sprained her ankle and couldn't do the role anymore, and then the understudy got the flu and can't be Alice for the premiere. That all means there's only one other person who can play Alice and have all the lines memorized, me. "What do you mean you refuse." "I'm not going to dress up as a girl Ms. Silvius. I'll be a laughing stock." "No one will know that you are going to play Alice. We'll just say you are someone from another school, and we'll give you a voicifer pill." "OK, but how will I know SHE won't use this as a chance for revenge." "Why would I use this chance for revenge on my ex-boyfriend? I wouldn't jeopardize everybody's hard work to get a little revenge." "What do you mean I can't think of a better way to get revenge, Margot? I'll be embarrassed in front of the entire school and my parents" "How about I give a 100 in this class and convince one of your other teachers to also give you a high A." "Throw in a recommendation for my dream college, Los Angeles Film School, and then I'll play Alice." "We don't have enough time to get a new dress for you so you'll have to wear the one we have and you'll have to wear panties, a bra and a corset for the dress, sorry. Also, don't worry about dressing up as the character you'll play on opening day." "Why do I have to wear a bra, panties, and a corset?" "Well, because the type of dress we have for Alice requires it, and for the corset, the waist is too thin for you, so you'll need it to fit in it and not rip it." "Fine" With that, I left with the corset on because I need a little smaller waist for me to at least squeeze in the dress, so I decided to go to the store before I went home for the panties and bra cuz why wait. My mom almost caught me in the corset, but it's all good. We had our first rehearsal with me as Alice, which is also our second to last rehearsal before opening night. Ms. Silvius and Maggie agreed to trim my eyebrows because they are a little too bushy for Alice. Maggie made them super thin and then claimed that they should be that thin but whatever. While I would never admit, the panties are softer and more comfortable. Before I went to bed, I got an Email from Ms. Silvius telling me that I have to dress up as Alice for Opening day and that I have to meet up with Maggie for her to do my make-up. I went to school that day, and everybody was getting ready, and I couldn't find Ms. Silvius to make sure that I had to dress up as Alice. "There you are. I was beginning you weren't going to show up." "Well, Ms. Silvius told me I had to." "Do you want your Voicifer pill now? Don't worry, it'll work all day." "Sure, thanks." "So, are you ready for the play?" "Nope… wow, I wasn't expecting my voice to be this high." "Well, they only had high female voicifer pills." "Sure, but whatever." And that was when she had her revenge but was I wrong… so wrong. I went through the school day until it was ready for me to leave for the play. Ms. Silvius told me I should take off the dress for lunch. After lunch, I went to get dressed, but something was wrong with the dress. Someone had cut off the bass and took all the petticoats. I told Ms. Silvius and Maggie what happened and that the spare was missing. "Sorry, Alex, but the show must go on." We did the play, and for the curtain call, Maggie rushed on to the stage. "Hello ladies and gentlemen, I'm Maggie, the make-up artist, and Alice here isn't just a guy, but it's Alex Crawford." and then she left my skirt. The whole school saw me, and I was very embarrassed.
